Akeredolu proceeds on annual leave, hands over to Aiyedatiwa
The governor of Ondo State, Rotimi Akeredolu, has handed over the ruling of the state to his Deputy, Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa.
The governor disclosed this in a letter to the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Rt. Bamidele Oleyelogun.
According to the letter, Akeredolu will be embarking on the first part of his 2023 annual leave which will last for fifteen working days: April 3 to April 25, 2023.
He will resume back to office on the 26th April, 2023, the letter confirmed.
“Aiyedatiwa will now perform the functions of the office of the Governor from today till Tuesday 25th April 2023,” Akeredolu said.
Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu CON SAN is a Nigerian lawyer and politician who is currently the governor of Ondo State, in office since 24 February 2017.
His adopted prefix is “Arakunrin”, while his nickname is “Aketi”. He is a Senior Advocate of Nigeria who became president of the Nigerian Bar Association in 2008.
