Ramadan: Sanwo-Olu felicitates all Muslims, calls for peaceful coexistence

Lagos State Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has felicitated Muslims across the globe, wishing them a happy month of Ramadan.

In his felicitation message, Sanwo-Olu enjoined all the Muslims to imbibe the culture of the blessed month.

The governor called for peace, generosity and peaceful coexistence with one another.

“Ramadan is a time of reflection and purity. As we fast and pray, let us be our brothers keeper and extend a hand of kindness to those in need,” Sanwo-Olu said.

He prayed that the holy month will bring the Muslims closer to Allah and strengthen their faith.

“Wishing all our Muslim brothers and sisters in Lagos State a peaceful and blessed Ramadan,” he added.

Reacting to the governor’s message, the Managing Director, Lagos Waste Management Authority (LAWMA), Adedamola Adeosun, leveraged the moment to congratulate the governor on his re-election.

“The entire staff say congratulations on your second term in the office. God bless you,sir,” he wrote.

Also reacting, Odumosu Babatunde Wasiu, urged the governor to fulfil his promises.

“You should reciprocate same reflection to the masses who voted your victory for second term in office,” he said.

He added, “Let the masses, commuters and motorist have their days back like the days of your predecessor, not making [Lagos State Traffic Management Authority] (LASTMA) a revenue generation agency, or VIS a roadsides ticketers.”
