Ramadan: Asoju Rere felicitates Muslims, urges good deeds
The lawmaker who is representing Ifelodun/ Boripe/ Odo-Otin Federal Constituency at the National Assembly, Hon. AbdulRasheed Afolabi Olalekan (FCA), has felicitated Muslims across the world and particularly, the good people of his constituency on sighting of the moon and commencement of Ramadan fasting.
The lawmaker sent his greetings to all the Muslim Ummah in a statement he personally signed and made available to the public by his media office on Thursday March 23, 2023.
While quoting Quran 2, verse 183 to underline the significance of the month of Ramadan, the veteran lawmaker described the month as first among equals both in popularity and prosperity.
“It is my pleasure on behalf of my family, to felicitate with Islamic faithfuls in Ifelodun/ Boripe/ Odo-Otin Federal Constituency and across Osun State on the commencement of 1444AH holy month of Ramadan as commanded by Allah in Quran 2, verse 183,” the lawmaker said.
Hon. Afolabi described Ramadan as a solemn season that teaches piety, compassion, goodness to others and obedience to Allah both implicitly and explicitly.
He therefore urged everyone to prioritize good deeds, prayers and almsgiving in order to have in full, all the rewards embedded in the holy month both in weight and height.
Asoju Rere as fondly called by his people prayed to almighty Allah to accept the fast of everyone and all other good deeds of this season starting from today as an act of worship.
