Police Service Commission appoints new commissioner for Ogun State
The Police Service Commission has approved the posting of CP Olanrewaju Ogunlowo from Kwara State as the new substantive Commissioner of Police for Ogun State.
This decision follows the retirement of CP Abiodun Alamutu, who previously served in the role.
In a statement issued on Monday, Ikechukwu Ani, the Head of Press and Public Relations, confirmed that CP Ogunlowo will take over from Alamutu, with the Commission’s approval communicated to the Inspector General of Police for immediate implementation.
The Chairman of the Police Service Commission, DIG Hashimu Argungu, extended his congratulations to CP Ogunlowo and urged him to use his office to uphold law and order in Ogun State.
He emphasized the importance of reducing crime and criminal activities in the region.
DIG Argungu also assured that the Commission will continue to provide necessary support to the police force to ensure a safer environment for all Nigerians.
