Court jails notorious Yahoo boy for impersonation
The Kaduna State High Court has sentenced Victory Dennis, popularly known as Lakeisha Andre, to one year’s imprisonment.
The sentence followed his guilty plea before Justice A. A. Isiaka of the Kaduna State High Court on charges bordering on impersonation of a Canadian.
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) disclosed this in a statement on Monday, June 26, 2023.
Following intelligence on the convict’s internet fraud, the EFCC operatives arrested him at the Disney Lounge Night Club in Barnawa, Kaduna State.
Andre pleaded guilty to the charge, therefore, the prosecution counsel, Y.J Matiyak, prayed to the court to convict him accordingly.
“Justice Isiaka convicted and sentenced Dennis to one year’s imprisonment with the option of N150,000 as a fine. The court further ordered that the convict forfeit the phones used in committing the crime,” the statement reads.
