Hilda Baci, a Lekki-based Nigerian chef, has entered the Guinness’ Book of Records.

The ground-breaking announcement was disclosed at the Guinness World Records (GWR) headquarters in South Quay Plaza, Canary Wharf, London, on Tuesday, June 13, 2023.

Hilda Bassey breaks the previous achievement of an Indian chef Lata Tondon, who cooked for 87 hours and 11 minutes in 2019, with an additional 5 hours and 26 minutes, making a total of 93 hours and 45 minutes of marathon cooking.

Subsequent to the GWR’s assessment of Hilda’s submission, the body stated that she had fully met all the requirements.
