“Your labour remains the pillar of our economy” — Hon Alli salutes Nigerian workers
Member of House of Representatives, who represents Mushin 1 Federal Constituency, Hon Adeyemi Alli, has saluted Nigerian workers.
Hon Alli, who joined in the felicitation of the Nigerian workers, stated that the labour of the workers, is the pillar on which the country’s economy rests.
The lawmaker’s felicitation was contained in a statement signed released by his media group on Monday May 1, 2023.
“Historically, this day has been set aside as a holiday in solidarity with workers. It is a day to remember that the labour of workers, in the public and private sector and in the formal and informal sector, is the pillar on which our economy rests,” Hon Alli said.
He added, “It is a day to take stock of how we, as a nation, have been treating our workforce and what we need to do to improve their working conditions. It is a day to reflect and assess. It is also a day to commend and appraise.
“I am convinced that if we keep working together, we will not only build our economy, we will make it better than it was in the past.”
He continued, “We remain open to ideas and suggestions that will help our economy grow through impactful legislation at the national assembly.
“On behalf of myself and lovely wife, I wish all the devoted, talented and passionate individuals who work tirelessly to improve our economy and develop our nation a blissful workers’ day celebration.”
