Governor AbdurRahman celebrates workers’ day, reassures Kwara welfare packages

 

The Governor of Kwara State, AbdurRahman AbdurRazaq, has celebrated Nigerian workers on the auspicious occasion of the global workers’ day.

Governor AbdurRahman, at the Metropolitan Square in Ilorin, joined the state workers in celebration; remarked that May 1st is earmarked to commemorate their struggles over the years.

He reassured the all-inclusive approach of his administration and vowed to prioritize workers’ welfare in the state.

The Governor appreciates God Almighty and every supporter in his re-election, particularly the state workers, for making the victory happen once again.

“On behalf of the government and the people of our state, I heartily congratulate the Nigerian workers on this august occasion of the May Day. The May Day is one of the most popular holidays in human history, and it is grounded in the progressive and noble values of the global workforce, including in Nigeria,” he said.

AbdurRahman also appealed to the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC to work consistently with the government following the recent election cycle from which different political parties have been pronounced winners of different offices.

He further urged NLC to support the President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and his cabinet in their administration.

“I am not just asking workers to support our government in Kwara, I am especially enjoining them and every Kwaran to give full support to the President-elect Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu,” he added.
