NIPU Northern Council Celebrates Member’s Promotion to Professor

The Northern States Council of the National Ikirun Progressive Union has congratulated one of its distinguished members, Muhammad Jamiu Usman Erubu, on his promotion to the rank of Professor in Islamic Ethics, Morality, and Human Relations.

The promotion was approved by the Governing Council of the Federal University of Education, Zaria during its first quarter meeting held on April 13, 2026, under the leadership of Pro-Chancellor Baba Ahmad Jidda.

In a statement issued on behalf of the Council Chairman, Aliyu Odeniyi, the union described the achievement as a testament to Professor Erubu’s dedication, academic excellence, and contributions to moral and intellectual development.

“This remarkable achievement is a testament to your dedication, excellence, and unwavering commitment to academic and moral advancement,” the statement read.

“Your elevation to the rank of Professor is a moment of great joy not only for you but for the Ikirun community and the nation at large,” it added.

The council further commended Erubu’s years of hard work and resilience, noting that his contributions have had a positive impact on society and scholarship.

“As you attain this noble height, we pray that Almighty Allah continues to guide your steps, grant you greater wisdom, and strengthen you for even more remarkable accomplishments,” the statement said.

The message was signed by the Council’s Secretary, Abdelhafeez Ishaq Maigida, on behalf of members across the northern states.
