Makinde Inaugurates Governing Councils of Tertiary Institutions, Renames Saki Polytechnic

Governor Seyi Makinde has inaugurated the governing councils of five state-owned tertiary institutions in Oyo State, reaffirming his administration’s commitment to investing in education.
The affected institutions include: The Polytechnic Ibadan, Michael Adeniyi Koleoso Polytechnic, Saki (formerly The Oke Ogun Polytechnic), Oyo State College of Agriculture and Technology, Igbo-Ora, Oyo State College of Education, Lanlate, and Oyo State College of Health Science and Technology, Eleyele.
Governor Makinde stated, “We will continue to commit the State’s resources to the education sector to ensure that our graduates can compete favourably with their peers anywhere in the world.”
In addition to the inaugurations, the governor signed a bill officially renaming The Oke Ogun Polytechnic, Saki, to Michael Adeniyi Koleoso Polytechnic, Saki— to honour the contributions of the elder statesman to the region’s development.
