NASFAT Lagos Zone 2 Extends Free Medical Outreach to AKIODE Community, Ojodu, Lagos

NASFAT ZEC Promotes Health, Da’wah, and Unity Through Social Intervention_

As part of its commitment to faith-driven humanitarian service, the NAṢFAT Lagos Zone 2 Zonal Executive Council (ZEC), under the leadership of Engr. Abdulganiyu Jumah Adebayo, extended a free medical outreach to the AKIODE Community during its monthly zonal meeting hosted at NASFAT AKIODE Group, Ojodu, Lagos on the 6th of July 2025.

The initiative aimed not only to provide critical health services to the public but also to deepen community engagement and promote Islamic values.

The outreach event brought together leaders, health professionals, and residents, including women, the aged, market traders, and even non-Muslims, reflecting NASFAT’s inclusive and service-oriented approach to da’wah.

The Zonal Health Services Secretary, Alhaja Sefiat Hassan who led the medical team, addressed the audience/beneficiaries on the vital importance of regular health screening.

She emphasized that early detection remains one of the most powerful tools in combating common but potentially life-threatening ailments.

Her team provided free medical services including: Blood Pressure checks, Blood Sugar testing, HIV screening and General health advice with free drugs

The turnout was impressive, with beneficiaries expressing deep appreciation for NASFAT’s concern for community wellness.

Alhaji Eniola Mate, Zonal Group Establishment and Compliance Coordinator, In his remarks, encouraged attendees to be actively involved in NASFAT’s spiritual and social activities, such as: Weekly Asalatu sessions, Special prayers, Islamic lectures and empowerment programs

He stressed the importance of building strong, spiritually grounded communities, and invited more Muslims to join NASFAT’s mission of spreading Islam while serving humanity.

Similarly, Alhaja Aisha Monsumola Busari applauded members for their presence and urged them to bring their families and neighbors closer to NASFAT. She reminded the women that their husbands and children also have a place in the growing global Islamic society.

“NASFAT is no longer just a society; it is a global Islamic force,” she said. “Let us continue to spread its message by bringing in our families, so we all grow together in faith and unity.”

The Zonal event witnessed the special appearance of Alhaji Miftaudeen Balogun, the Desk Officer, In his goodwill message, he commended the Zonal Executive Council for their dedication and consistency, describing the current ZEC’s track record as exemplary and impactful.

He encouraged ZEC members to remain committed, united, and focused, reminding them that “the glory of Lagos Zone 2 remains unshakable.” He lauded the zone for consistently setting the pace in both da’wah and social service delivery.

Additionally, Alhaji Miftaudeen conveyed an important message from the National Executive Council (NEC) regarding two major upcoming events:

The National Retreat scheduled to hold in mid-August 2025 at Fountain University, Osogbo, and the Bi-Annual National Conference set for late December 2025 in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja.

He urged all ZEC members and stakeholders to prepare, mobilize, and participate fully in these events, which will serve as platforms for spiritual rejuvenation, policy framework, networking, and national strategic planning.

The event concluded with special du’a (prayers) by the Lead Missioner, who invoked Allah’s blessings on all ZEC members, health personnel, volunteers, and the society at large. He prayed for strength, unity, and divine assistance in all future endeavors.

This impactful outreach once again reaffirmed NASFAT Lagos Zone 2’s unwavering dedication to faith, service, and community empowerment. With strong leadership and grassroots engagement, the Zone continues to lead by example — combining Islamic values with practical, life-changing interventions for the benefit of all.
