(Breaking) Exclusive: Another woman reveals narrow escape from AbdulRahman Idisin’s trap amid Hafsoh Yetunde murder case

As the Kwara State capital, Ilorin, continues to reel from the shocking murder of Hafsoh Yetunde, who was allegedly hacked to death and dismembered for ritual purposes by AbdulRahman Idisin, another woman has come forward with a chilling revelation of how she narrowly escaped the same fate.
In a Facebook post shared by Abdulganiy Saad, the woman, whose identity was not disclosed, detailed how Idisin, now in police custody, used Asalatu—a weekly Sunday gathering of Muslim women for prayers and other activities—to lure his victims.
She revealed that Idisin had repeatedly invited her to attend Asalatu over the years, but she consistently declined his offers.
The woman’s testimony has sent shockwaves through the community, further exposing the sinister tactics employed by the suspect.
She urged young girls to exercise caution when meeting strangers and advised them to always go out with friends to avoid being alone in potentially dangerous situations.
As earlier reported by AfrReporters, the suspect allegedly lured Hafsoh through Facebook and phone conversations before killing her for ritual purposes.
The tragic incident occurred on Monday, February 10, 2025, when Hafsoh left a naming ceremony to answer a phone call and never returned.
Her family and friends launched a frantic search before reporting her disappearance to the Oja Oba Police Station in Ilorin the following day.
Police investigators traced Hafsoh’s last call to Ballo, who resides in the Offa Garage area of Ilorin.
Reacting to the gruesome murder, Comrade Hassan Taiye Erubu, President of the Balogun Fulani Constituency Youth Development Association, expressed profound grief over the incident.
Erubu lamented the disgrace AbdulRahman had brought upon his family and the entire community, emphasizing that justice must be served.
He further called on the Ilorin Emirate to be more vigilant, warning that the unchecked activities of self-proclaimed young Islamic scholars pose a growing threat.
Her revelation comes amid ongoing investigations into the gruesome murder of Hafsoh Yetunde, whose dismembered body was discovered at the residence of the self-acclaimed Islamic cleric.
