An online video has surfaced, revealing how officers of the Nigeria Police Force uncovered the horrifying details of how AbdulRahman Idisin, a self-proclaimed alfa, murdered and dismembered a young girl, Hafsoh Yetunde, for alleged ritual purposes.
The tragic incident has left residents of Ilorin, Kwara State, in deep sorrow and outrage.
In the now-viral video, police officers investigating the murder searched AbdulRahman’s rooms and uncovered the tools used in the crime, as well as the stored body parts harvested from Hafsoh.
Ballo initially claimed that Hafsoh died from an asthma attack after visiting his home. However, the evidence at the scene, including a table equipped with dismemberment tools, suggests this may not be his first crime.
As earlier reported by AfrReporters, the suspect, now in police custody, allegedly lured Hafsoh through Facebook and phone conversations before killing her for ritual purposes.
The tragic incident occurred on Monday, February 10, 2025, when Hafsoh left a naming ceremony to answer a phone call and never returned.
Her family and friends launched a frantic search before reporting her disappearance to the Oja Oba Police Station in Ilorin the following day.
Police investigators traced Hafsoh’s last call to Ballo, who resides in the Offa Garage area of Ilorin.
During a search of his residence, officers made a horrifying discovery: Hafsoh’s dismembered body was found in a bowl, alongside tools suspected to have been used in the gruesome act.
Reacting to the gruesome murder, Comrade Hassan Taiye Erubu, President of the Balogun Fulani Constituency Youth Development Association, expressed profound grief over the incident.
Erubu lamented the disgrace AbdulRahman had brought upon his family and the entire community, emphasizing that justice must be served.
He further called on the Ilorin Emirate to be more vigilant, warning that the unchecked activities of self-proclaimed young Islamic scholars pose a growing threat.
