No fewer than 33,037 Palestinians have been murdered in Israel’s deadly offensive on the Gaza Strip since last October, the Health Ministry in the besieged enclave said on Thursday.

A ministry statement said some 75,668 Palestinians have also been injured in the onslaught.

“Israeli attacks killed at least 62 people and injured 91 others in the last 24 hours,” the ministry said.

“Many people are still trapped under rubble and on the roads and rescuers are unable to reach them,” it added.

Israel has pounded the Gaza Strip since a cross-border attack by Hamas, which Tel Aviv says killed nearly 1,200 people.

South Africa recently dragged Israel to the International Court of Justice where it stands accused of genocide.

An interim ruling in January ordered Tel Aviv to stop genocidal acts and take measures to guarantee that humanitarian assistance is provided to civilians in Gaza.

Hostilities have continued unabated, however, and aid deliveries remain woefully insufficient to address the humanitarian catastrophe.

According to the UN, the Israeli war on Gaza has caused 60% of the enclave’s infrastructure to be damaged or destroyed, and 85% of its inhabitants to be internally displaced due to severe shortages of food, clean water, and medication.

Until now, the violence hasn’t stopped, and there hasn’t been nearly enough relief to meet the humanitarian crisis that has severely affected the region.
