In a notable visit to the Emir’s Palace in Ilorin, the Sultan of Sokoto, His Eminence Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar III, praised Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for his exceptional leadership style, emphasizing the restoration of royal and institutional dignity in Kwara State.
During a courtesy call on the Emir of Ilorin, HRH Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, the Sultan expressed his admiration for Governor AbdulRazaq’s inclusive and visionary approach to governance. He specifically highlighted the governor’s efforts in revitalizing the traditional institution, fostering cultural reorientation, and strengthening the societal fabric.
The Sultan’s commendation resonated with the Emir of Ilorin, who acknowledged Governor AbdulRazaq’s commitment to achieving a democratic and egalitarian society. The Emir emphasized the administration’s significant contributions, adding a sense of glamour to his reign.
Accompanying the Emir were prominent Islamic scholar Dr. Zakir Naik and his son, Farik Naik, who were in Ilorin for an Islamic lecture held at the Banquet Hall as part of their State visit.
The Chief Imam of Ilorin, Sheikh Muhammad Bashir, seized the opportunity to offer prayers for Governor AbdulRazaq, lauding his compassion and genuine concern for the welfare of the people.
Sheikh Bashir expressed confidence that the governor would successfully conclude his tenure, following in the footsteps of past leaders who trod a similar path.
