WHO says situation in Gaza “is spiralling out of control” as Germany calls for probe after hospital attack

The head of the UN health agency, WHO, has warned that the situation in the under-fire Gaza Strip “is spiralling out of control.”
“We need violence on all sides to stop,” World Health Organization (WHO) head Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said on X.

Earlier, Tedros condemned the attack on al-Ahli Arab Hospital and called for “the immediate protection of civilians and health care, and for the evacuation orders to be reversed”.
Meanwhile, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz says it is “imperative” to conduct a thorough probe into the hospital bombing in Gaza.
“I am horrified by the images of the explosion in a hospital in Gaza. Innocent civilians were injured and killed. Our thoughts are with the families of the victims,” Scholz said on X. “A thorough investigation of the incident is imperative.
