Gov Uzodinma charges citizens to exercise democratic rights, ignores bigots’ noise
Imo state governor, H.E Sen. Hope Uzodinma has charged the residents of Orlu Zone, the second largest city in southeast, Imo state, to demonstrate their fundamental political rights in the upcoming gubernatorial election.
Governor Uzodinma made the call at the Development Summit 2023 organised by Orlu people in support of the administration’s reelection bid.
Speaking at the event, Uzodinma extolled both the organizers and participants for the astonishing initiative and highlighted his accomplishments in his three years in office.
Explaining the need for his reelection for a second term in office, Governor Hope Uzodimma said, “As a work-in-progress, our state needs consolidation on the reforms and systems we have implemented and projects executed. The next level of shared prosperity is designed to guarantee this.”
He revealed the good collaborative effort of his administration with the federal government in cushioning the post-subsidy removal. He, therefore, called on the citizens to ignore the call of the bigots in a bid to discontinue the shared prosperity in Imo state.
He said, “I called on my people, once more, not to allow the fantasy-filled speeches by the enemies of our state to dictate the direction of their patriotism.”
