Youth in Governance: Radda appoints 32-year-old Naufal Ahmad as ICT director general

A 32 years old young vibrant Nigerian, Naufal Ahmad has been appointed as the director general of the ICT directorate of Katsina state.

The executive governor, His Excellency Dikko Umaru Radda approved his appointment on Friday, 18th August, 2023.

According to his excellency, Mr Ahmad’s confirmation required him to commence work from 2023, ‘based on the conviction that he will serve faithfully, diligently, and in the best interest of the service.’

The new young director was the founder of the first technology hub in the North Central region of the country, Kirkira Innovation Hub, established in 2017. The Technology Hub has helped in the human capital development of youths through training in different technological skills.

Commending the visionary leader, the report from the government house read, “Naufal’s remarkable career as a tech ecosystem builder has been nothing short of extraordinary. With an unwavering passion for innovation and youth empowerment, his impact on the tech landscape of Katsina and Nigeria at large is undeniable.”

It added, “He has been a sought-after speaker and organizer at numerous conferences across Katsina and the country, sharing his insights and inspiring others to embrace innovation.

“In recognition of his outstanding achievements, Naufal has received numerous accolades, including being named among the Opportunities Hub’s 100 Most Influential Youths for his significant contributions to youth development and entrepreneurship.”
