Enugu residents protest over sit-at-home order, lament dwindling survival, economy

On Monday, the residents of Enugu, the capital city of Enugu State, protested over the Monday sit-at-home order by the faction of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) in the region.

The protesters lamented their dwindling means of survival as the economy kept declining.

In a live recorded video by Ebubechukwu Uzo on his Facebook page on Monday, July 23, 2023, many residents of the State were captured while protesting against the illegal sit-at-home order.

The residents took over the streets, ‘holding placards with various inscriptions while protesting.’

One of their chants reads, “We no longer meet up with our hire purchase because of sit-at-home.”
