Breaking: DSP appoints late Oyo State Governor’s son, Idris Abiola Ajimobi as adviser
The Deputy Senate President, Senator Jibrin Barau, has appointed the son of the former governor of Oyo State, Idris Abiola Ajimobi, as his special adviser on special duties.

Idris Ajimobi was the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Ibadan South West State Constituency II in the 2023 election. He came in second with 7,755 votes against the 16,328 votes of Honourable Oluwafemi Fowokanmi of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP.
Idris Ajimobi is also married to former Kano Governor Ganduje’s daughter. Both Ganduje and Barau are from Kano State.
