IGP Egbetokun visits alma mater as school prepares for golden celebration
Ag. IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun has visited his old school, Anglican Comprehensive High School, in Ipaja, Lagos State in preparation for its upcoming jubilee anniversary.
Egbetokun, who happens to be the chairman of the planning committee, promises that the 50th anniversary shall be a very momentous occasion in the history of the school.
The Police Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, revealed this at the Force Headquarters in Abuja on Saturday, July 22, 2023.
According to him, “The visit served as a remarkable opportunity for the IGP to reconnect with his roots and foster a sense of unity and pride amongst the school’s alumni, staff, and current students.
While at the visit, the IGP recalled his pleasant moment at the school in 1979, and expressed his gratitude for the solid foundation laid in moulding his character and career.
He emphasized the impacts of quality education in future building and vowed for unwavering support to ensure the success of the upcoming event to make it an unforgettable milestone for the school.

“The IGP’s visit has reignited a spirit of camaraderie and enthusiasm among the school community, as they eagerly look forward to celebrating five decades of academic excellence and nurturing young minds for a brighter future,” the statement reads.
It added, “The 50th-anniversary celebration promises to be a momentous occasion, as the IGP, along with the entire Anglican Comprehensive High School Ipaja community, comes together to celebrate a rich history of excellence and chart a path for even greater accomplishments in the future.”
