Shettima decorates new acting IG of police
On behalf of the President, Vice President Kashim Shettima has dressed DIG Kayode Egbetokun as the new acting inspector general of police on this day, June 20, 2023.
Earlier this afternoon, Mr President left the country to attend a summit in France.

Following the President’s approval of his appointment, the event marks his inauguration as the most senior police officer.
According to a report, Egbetokun happened to be the chief security officer of President Tinubu while serving as Lagos state governor in 1999.
