Gov AbdurRahman visits cashew processing plant, promises partnership with local investors in Kwara

The Kwara State Government, KWSG, has vowed to encourage processing of locally produced commodities in the state.

Governor AbdurRahman AbdurRazaq revealed this on May 1, 2023, during his visit to Annie Glidden Commodities Nigeria Limited at Eiyenkorin in Ilorin, the State capital.

Annie Glidden Commodities is a newly commissioned industry for cashew, a major produce of Kwara State, processing.

According to a statement, His Excellency described the visit as something that will encourage more establishment and investments among investors.

“Nigeria is putting more interest in cashew processing. So it is a good thing to have a local production and make sure we export processed cashew nuts, rather than raw cashew nuts. This is about the third major cashew company in our state,” the governor said.
