Major financial and development institutions also participated in the launch, among them the Islamic Development Bank, Bank of Industry, NEXIM Bank, the Nigeria Export Promotion Council, Jaiz Bank, as well as several private-sector players.

A major highlight of the event was the role of the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Dar Al Halal Nigeria, Alhaji Muhammadu Dikko Ladan, who was identified as a key driver of the initiative. He attended the event with a delegation of scholars, intellectuals, and expert professionals involved in the development of the strategy.

Commenting on the occasion, Abdullahi Abubakar Lamido, who attended the launch, described the event as impactful.

“We have just left the State House, where Nigeria’s National Halal Economy Strategy was officially launched by the Vice President. It was a remarkable and impactful event,” Lamido said.

He noted that the wide range of local and international stakeholders present underscored the growing importance of the halal economy to Nigeria’s economic diversification agenda.

The launch is expected to open new opportunities in trade, investment, and job creation, as Nigeria positions itself to compete in the global halal market.
