President Tinubu Accepts Resignation of Minister Geoffrey Nnaji
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has accepted the resignation of Geoffrey Uche Nnaji, Minister of Innovation, Science, and Technology.
The development was confirmed on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy.
Nnaji, who was appointed in August 2023, tendered his resignation in a letter addressed to the President, expressing gratitude for the opportunity to serve the nation. He noted that his decision was influenced by persistent acts of blackmail allegedly orchestrated by political opponents.
In accepting his resignation, President Tinubu commended Nnaji for his contributions to national development and wished him success in his future endeavours.
