Asoju Rere decorated as Asiwaju of Aromokola
The 2025 edition of the Aromokola Compound Day unfolded with grandeur in Oke Amola, Ikirun, Osun State, as Hon. Abdul Rasheed Afolabi Olalekan FCA, popularly known as Asoju Rere, was ceremoniously decorated as the Asiwaju of Aromokola Compound.
The event gathered an impressive array of dignitaries, marking a significant milestone in the family’s history.
The annual celebration, which brings together members of the Aromokola family from across Nigeria and the diaspora, was attended by prominent figures such as Alhaji Abdul Ganiyu Abimbola Adebisi, Rector of Igbajo Polytechnic, Alhaji Hon. Salami Aderemi Adebayo, former Chairman of Ifelodun Local Government, and Engr. Adeleke Luqmon Adebomi Tenten, an ICT expert based in Abuja.
Honored for his remarkable contributions to the development of the Aromokola Compound, both in terms of human and infrastructural progress, Asoju Rere expressed heartfelt gratitude for the recognition. “I deeply thank my family for this honor. I promise to continue being a good ambassador of the Aromokola family in all my endeavors,” he said in his acceptance speech.
The celebration featured numerous activities, including the presentation of awards to distinguished members of the family. Among the awardees was Engr. Adeleke Luqman Adebomi, celebrated for his outstanding contributions. Guests were treated to a lively musical interlude, while a fundraising segment was held to support new and ongoing projects aimed at furthering the development of the extended Aromokola Compound.
The gathering underscored the unity, achievements, and shared vision of the Aromokola family, leaving attendees inspired and optimistic about future endeavours.
