NCPC announces date for airlifting of pilgrims to holy land
The Nigerian Christian Pilgrims Commission (NCPC) has announced that the airlift of intending pilgrims to the Holy Land will commence on December 22, 2024.
This was disclosed in a statement signed by the Commission’s Deputy Director and Head of Media and Public Relations, Celestine Toruka.
The announcement was made by Bishop Stephen Adegbite, Executive Secretary of the NCPC, during a meeting of the Conference of States, which includes Chairmen and Secretaries of Christian Pilgrims Welfare Boards from across the country and the FCT, held in Abuja.
“The Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC) is set to commence airlift of intending pilgrims to the Holy Land on 22nd December 2024,” the statement quoted Adegbite as saying.
Addressing the gathering, Bishop Adegbite emphasized the importance of integrity and dedication in service, urging attendees to look to God for strength and guidance. He reaffirmed the Commission’s commitment to its zero-tolerance policy on corruption and abscondment by pilgrims.
The NCPC Secretary praised President Bola Tinubu for steering Nigeria back on track despite prevailing challenges, stating that the country was progressing toward its desired goals.
