Hoodlums lynch police officer to death in Adamawa, face prosecution
Hoodlums reportedly beat a police officer, Ibrahim Maizabuwa, to death in a tragic incident in Adamawa State
Two suspects, Ezekiel Kefas and Stephen Zabadi, both from Wamsa Suwa Ward in Lamurde Local Government Area, have been arrested in connection with the crime.
The police confirmed the incident through the command’s Public Relations Officer, SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, who stated that the suspects were apprehended on November 19, 2024, after the victim’s son, Danlami Ibrahim Maizabuwa, reported the murder.
Investigations revealed that the police officer was killed and buried in the community. It was reported that Maizabuwa had visited his friend, Ezekiel Kefas, when the attack occurred.
During questioning, Kefas claimed that the officer was killed by a group of thugs following a dispute, which allegedly involved the officer destroying property and assaulting people at Kefas’ residence.
