Multiple sources confirm that Manchester City’s legendary manager, Pep Guardiola, has agreed to extend his tenure at the club with a one-year contract extension.

The deal could potentially include an option for an additional year, taking his stay to a remarkable decade.

Since joining City in 2016, the 53-year-old Spaniard has revolutionized English football, steering the club to an incredible 18 trophies, including six Premier League titles.

His current contract was set to expire at the end of this season, but Guardiola’s decision to extend ensures his continued influence on City’s dominance in domestic and European football.

Under Guardiola’s guidance, City has achieved historic milestones, including becoming the second English men’s team to secure the treble—winning the Premier League, FA Cup, and Champions League in a single season. Additionally, they are the only men’s team to clinch four consecutive English top-flight titles and accumulate 100 Premier League points in one campaign.

Currently, City sits second in the Premier League, five points behind Liverpool, amid an injury-hit season. Guardiola’s team has faced an uncharacteristic slump, losing their last four games in all competitions. They look to bounce back against Tottenham Hotspur at the Etihad on Saturday.
