Video: Watch grim aftermath of latest Israeli airstrikes on Gaza as violence escalates
The Palestinian Red Cre scent Society has released footage showing the grim aftermath of recent airstrikes in Gaza.
The video highlights rescuers retrieving the bodies of three people, including children, and providing medical aid to two wounded victims.
Rescue operations remain severely hampered in the northern region due to a lack of heavy machinery, and ongoing shelling poses constant threats to volunteers attempting to recover victims from beneath rubble.
Eyewitnesses report heavy airstrikes in Jabalia, Beit Lahiya, and Gaza City’s Sabra neighborhood. The attack in Sabra resulted in eight injuries, with all victims transported to al-Ahli Baptist Hospital, Gaza City’s primary functional medical facility.
Since October 7, 2023, the conflict has led to devastating losses. Israeli airstrikes have killed at least 43,922 Palestinians and injured 103,898. On the Israeli side, 1,139 people were killed, and over 200 people were taken captive during the Hamas-led attacks that initiated the violence.
Efforts to provide humanitarian aid and carry out rescue operations continue amidst dire circumstances and escalating hostilities.
