Jigawa State lifts suspension of commissioner allegedly caught in web of fornication
The Jigawa State Government has lifted the suspension of Auwalu Sankara, the Commissioner for Special Duties, following his clearance of alleged adultery charges by a Kano Upper Shari’a Court.
Governor Malam Umar Namadi reinstated Sankara immediately, as stated in a press release issued by the Secretary to the Government of Jigawa State, Malam Bala Ibrahim.
The statement recalled that Sankara had been suspended after allegations were reported to the Kano State Hisbah Board. However, his discharge and acquittal by the Upper Shari’a Court prompted the government to reinstate him.
Sankara has been directed to resume his official duties without delay.
