Gov Aiyedatiwa confident of victory, says “I am at an advantage to win Ondo election”
Ondo State Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa has expressed confidence in winning the ongoing governorship election, citing his performance over the last 10 months as a key factor.
Speaking after casting his vote at Unit 5, Ward 4 in Obenla community, Aiyedatiwa emphasized his unique campaign efforts. “I am the only candidate who campaigned across the state,” he said, noting that his outreach resonated with the electorate.
The governor expressed gratitude for the support shown during his campaign and optimism that voters would translate their admiration into votes.
The governorship election in Ondo State has drawn significant attention, with candidates vying for the people’s mandate in a competitive race. Aiyedatiwa’s confidence stems from his administration’s achievements and efforts to connect with residents across the state.
He said: “I am here at Obela community at Unit 05. It has been calm and peaceful. The turnout is encouraging. I expect same situation at other locations. I believe it should be peaceful in other locations. The people will comport themselves.
“We are peaceful in Ondo. We have been having our election in a peaceful environment. The citizens are law-abiding. I believe the election will be peaceful and credible.
“I urged the people to go out and vote. They should go out and vote. I believe with what we have done in the last 10 months, the voters know who they want.
“I am at an advantage to win because of the work I have done in the last 10 months. I was the only candidate that covered the entire state. I felt the people, I listened to them and the people were excited at my appearance. I believed they will translate the love to vote today.”
