Spain: Real Madrid mourns as move people killed in flash floods

Real Madrid C.F. has issued a heartfelt statement expressing its deepest condolences to the families and loved ones of those who have lost their lives due to the devastating storm that has swept across various regions of Spain, particularly in Valencia and Albacete.
At least 51 people have died in flash floods in south-east Spain, authorities in Valencia said on Wednesday.
Flash floods swept away cars, turned village streets into rivers and disrupted rail lines and motorways after torrential rain on Tuesday that affected large parts of southern and eastern Spain.
The statement by the Spanish football giant said that the club, its president, and the Board of Directors expressed sadness at the catastrophe and stood in solidarity with all those affected. They extend their full support and sympathy to the individuals and communities impacted by the tragedy.
The statement reads: “Real Madrid C. F., the club’s president and the Board of Directors would like to extend their condolences to the families and loved ones of the people who have lost their lives as a result of the storm that has hit many areas of our country, especially in the provinces of Valencia and Albacete.
“Real Madrid is deeply saddened and expresses its solidarity with all the people affected by this catastrophe, to whom it conveys all its full support and sympathy.”
