Erling Haaland reaches 100-goal milestone for Manchester City

Erling Haaland has become the 19th player to score 100 goals for Manchester City, achieving the milestone in just 105 matches.
The Norwegian striker reached the landmark with a ninth-minute goal against Arsenal in Sunday’s Premier League clash. Haaland has now scored 10 goals in just six appearances at the start of his third season at the Etihad Stadium.
This latest achievement further cements his status as the greatest goalscorer of his generation, following his back-to-back Premier League Golden Boot wins in his first two seasons in England.
In his debut season, Haaland scored 52 goals, the most ever by a Premier League player in a single campaign and the highest tally in Manchester City’s history.
His record-breaking season included 36 Premier League goals and 12 in the Champions League, as City secured their first-ever Champions League title. Last season, he followed up with 38 goals across all competitions, equaling the club’s second-highest tally in a single season, a record set by Tommy Johnson in 1928/29.
At 24, Haaland has started this season in exceptional form, netting 10 goals in City’s first five Premier League matches. Since joining the club, he has scored 73 goals in the Premier League, 18 in the Champions League, eight in the FA Cup, and one in the Carabao Cup.
Remarkably, Haaland is averaging more than one goal per game in the Premier League, having played 71 matches in the competition.
