FG launches next phase of fire service recruitment
The Civil Defence Correctional Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has officially announced the commencement of the next phase of recruitment for the Federal Fire Service (FFS) for the 2023/2024 cycle.
This exciting development was revealed by the Secretary to the Board, Ja’afaru Ahmed, in a statement released to the media on Saturday.
The recruitment exercise is set to kick off on September 15, 2024, with shortlisted candidates receiving invitation letters outlining the details of their upcoming physical screening, certificate verification, and aptitude tests.
These communications will be sent through the phone numbers and email addresses provided by the candidates during the registration process.
In a commitment to transparency and accessibility, the Board emphasized that “every process of this exercise does not attract any form of payment,” ensuring that all interested candidates can participate without financial barriers.
The CDCFIB had previously pledged to wrap up the recruitment process by the end of September 2024, with plans to bring on board approximately 2,500 new personnel to enhance the operational capacity of the Federal Fire Service.
This initiative underscores the government’s dedication to strengthening public safety and emergency response across the nation.
Aspiring candidates are encouraged to stay vigilant for their invitation letters and prepare for the upcoming screening, as this recruitment phase promises to open doors to numerous opportunities within the Federal Fire Service.
