As the University of Ilorin commenced the 2024/25 post-Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), the management of the higher institution has announced a new schedule for candidates who will be sitting for the exercise on Saturday.

In a short statement on its official Facebook page, the University advised candidates in the post-UTME examination slated for Saturday, August 31, 2024, to reprint their slips to verify their updated examination times.

This is necessary due to the Kwara State Government’s monthly sanitation exercise, which will be conducted from 7 am to 10 am on the same day.

Consequently, all examinations scheduled for Saturday will commence at 11 am, the statement stressed.

In a visit to the school on Thursday by Afri Reporters, candidates were seen making their way into the CBT centre of the university with adequate security provided.

The Ilorin-based federal university remains the highest first-choice applied institution in the last four years (2020, 2021, 2022 and 2023).

According to the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), the top 10 universities chosen by candidates during the 2023 UTME are University of Ilorin in the first position, followed by University of Lagos, and the third position is Lagos State University with 55,964 applications.
