NLTF, EFCC reinforce alliance for national development
The National Lottery Trust Fund (NLTF) has renewed its partnership with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
This collaboration marks a pivotal step in ensuring transparency and accountability within the sector, ultimately benefiting various national development initiatives.
During a recent visit to the EFCC headquarters, NLTF Executive Secretary, Comrade Tosin Adeyanju, expressed gratitude to the anti-graft agency for its remarkable recovery of over N9 billion for the NLTF.
He stated, “I urge the EFCC to sustain its efforts in ensuring that all gaming companies remit their dues, which will enable the NLTF to achieve its mandates.”
Adeyanju highlighted the critical importance of timely remittances from gaming companies, emphasizing that these funds are essential for the NLTF to fulfill its mission of promoting GOOD CAUSES and supporting national development. He elaborated, “Through the remittances, the NLTF will be able to assist President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in providing critical support for various sectors, including education, water, healthcare, sport vulnerable Nigerians and disaster management, thereby improving lives of Nigerians.”
Echoing this sentiment, EFCC Executive Chairman, Ola Olukoyede, congratulated Adeyanju on his appointment and praised the ongoing efforts of the NLTF. He assured the delegation of a strengthened collaboration in debt recovery, asserting that “it is the EFCC’s statutory obligation to do so.” Olukoyede further emphasized the importance of accountability, advising Adeyanju, “Do the right thing always because tomorrow someone else will review your activities.”
