Video: Nigerian in diaspora shows unbelievable road in deplorable condition in UK
A Nigerian living in the United Kingdom shared a video online which showed the deplorable state of a road in the top Western country, despite its enormous wealth, technological advancement and state-of-the-art infrastructure.
The video, which has gone viral, reveals a barely passable road, with deep potholes and craters that make it difficult for vehicles to navigate.
Wonders N Nwigwe, who uploaded the video, expressed rude shock at the state of the road, comparing it to some poorly maintained roads in some parts of Nigeria.
Some Nigerians have reacted to the video with netizens likening some roads in Lugbe, the outskirt of Nigeria’s capital city of Abuja.
Obayi Obiora challenged the poster of the video as he stressed that the road may be undergoing maintenance, going by the well-positioned buildings in the neighbourhood. He said, “You can see that the road is undergoing maintenance, can you see how the buildings are properly positioned. Go back same place in the next 6 months and make another video. You will be amazed.”
On his part, Agbaje Oluwaseye Oluwagbamila said, “Very funny,but am sure they have steady light and I can’t see area boys hailing you for money ,that means there is security there , even despite the bad roads they still have waste bin….may God bless Nigeria.”
Olumuyiwa Omo Ekun also commented, “Its not surprising bro, no state can ever be perfect with complete infastructure, what is the deal with lack road maintainance here, our country portholes are SINKHOLES. LOL.”
