Governor Abba Yusuf denies involvement in controversial drug contract for kano’s 44LGs
Abba Yusuf, the governor of Kano State, has denied having knowledge of a recent drug supply contract to the state’s local government councils.
The governor said this in a statement jointly signed by the state Commissioner for Information, Baba Dantiye and the Director-General, Media and Publicity to Mr Yusuf, Sanusi Bature, issued in Kano State on Sunday.
It said, “The governor, therefore, directed the Executive Chairman, Kano State Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission to immediately investigate the allegation and report the outcome for further necessary action.”
Mr Yusuf also called on the good people of the state to be patient pending the outcome of the investigation.
