Lead with fear of Allah, MMPN charges re-elected Kwara NUJ Chairman, others
The Kwara State Chapter of the Muslim Media Practitioners of Nigeria (MMPN) has congratulated Mallam Abdul-lateef Lanre Ahmed on his re-election as Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Kwara State Council.
In a message signed by State Chairman, Dr. Abdulrazaq Laaro Yusuf, and Secretary, Ahmed Ajiboye, the MMPN urged Ahmed to lead the council with integrity and sincerity, and to prioritize the welfare of members. The congratulatory message was issued in Ilorin, the state capital.
The Statement cautioned newly elected Executive Members against acts that could tear the union apart and avoid winner-takes-all by carrying members along in running the affairs of the union to engender transparency and togetherness.
“The MMPN urged them to see their election as an opportunity to serve their professional colleagues, and society in general as Fourth Estate of the Realm and fear Allah in their respective offices to insulate them against misdemeanors and other actions that could dent their image.
“The Muslim Media Practitioners of Nigeria, Kwara State Chapter therefore felicitated with newly elected officers of the State Council and prayed Allah to guide them in the discharge of their duties for the benefit of their esteemed colleagues in the media sector.”
