2024 UTME/SSCE: Varsity don rolls out mentorship opportunity for Nigerian students

Dear Students,

I am deeply concerned about the statistics of the 2024 UTME results. Reflecting on my own educational journey at Akinorun Grammar School, Ikirun, Nigeria, I recall the challenges and opportunities we faced, illustrated by the memories captured in photos from SS1 and SS3 with my friend Abimbola.

I’m not here to assign blame, but rather to emphasize that you have the power to excel and shape your future. Here are some actionable tips to help you achieve your best:

Set Clear Goals: Define what you want to achieve and outline the steps to get there. A clear vision will keep you focused and motivated.

Stay Organized: Maintain a study schedule and adhere to it. Regular, structured study time can significantly enhance your understanding and retention of material.

Seek Help When Needed: Don’t hesitate to ask for assistance from teachers, friends, or mentors. Getting guidance on difficult topics can make a big difference.

Practice, Practice, Practice: Utilize past UTME papers and other resources for practice. Familiarity with the exam format and question types can boost your confidence and performance.

Stay Positive and Persistent: Believe in yourself and continue pushing forward, even when things get tough. A positive attitude is crucial for success.

Having attended a public school myself, I understand the unique challenges you may face. Remember, you can overcome these obstacles and achieve great things!
