Off the hook! Detained police chief, Abba Kyari freed From Kuje prison after several months
The suspended Deputy Commissioner of Police DCP, Abba Kyari, has been officially released.
The spokesman of the FCT Command of the NCoS, Adamu Duza confirmed in a short message that Kyari had met the bail conditions set by the court and has therefore been released.
“DCP Kyari has perfected his bail conditions, and has since been released today”, he stated.
His release followed the ruling of a Federal High Court in Abuja that granted Kyari two weeks bail.
The court said the two-week bail was to allow Kyari to return home to conclude his mother’s burial rites.
Recall that Kyari’s mother died in the early hours of Sunday, May 5, 2024, and was survived by 10 children (five males and five females), including Abba, who is the first son.
