Hon Sarafadeen Awotunde honored as Otunba Jagunmolu of Ilobu Kingdom
In a grand ceremony on Saturday, Hon. Sarafadeen Abiodun Awotunde, the chairman of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON) in Osun State and chairman of Ifelodun Local Government Area, was bestowed the title of Otunba Jagunmolu of Ilobu Kingdom.
The title was conferred by the Olobu of Ilobu, Oba Ashiru Olatoye Olaniyan, recognizing Awotunde’s significant contributions to the community and state.
Hon. Awotunde, already a distinguished figure with multiple chieftaincy titles, including Otunba Atayese of Ilase-Ijesha and Saraki Adini of Ikirun, continues to earn accolades for his unwavering dedication to public service. Despite not being a native of Ilobu, his efforts in socio-economic development have earned him deep respect and recognition in the region.
The installation ceremony was attended by notable dignitaries and community members, celebrating Awotunde’s achievements and his impact on the state.

Governor Asiwaju Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke’s trust in Awotunde’s capabilities is evident in his appointment as chairman of the caretaker committee of Ifelodun Local Government Area.
