Cubana Chief Priest arrives in court to face naira abuse charge
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has dragged a celebrity’ bartender and businessman Pascal Okechukwu a.k.a Cubana Chief Priest before a Federal High Court in Lagos over alleged abuse of the naira.
The defendant arrived on the court’s premises at about 9am.
He is to be arraigned on three counts bordering on tampering and abusing the naira.
This came after Operatives of the Lagos Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, arrested and secured a court pronouncement against Idris Okuneye, a.k.a Bobrisky, for allegedly abusing the Naira notes.
The EFCC had invited the 31-year-old following a video report of spraying and flaunting wads of new Naira notes at the premiere of a movie, Ajakaju, produced by Eniola Ajao, a Nollywood actress and producer, at Film One Circle Mall, Lekki, Lagos on March 24, 2024.
The investigation also pointed out that he had also committed a similar offence at some other event centres and parties at different times.
