Kwara Gov mourns Olubadan, condoles with Oyo Govt

Kwara State Governor/ Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF) AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has joined the Nigerian community to mourn the death of the 42nd Olubadan of Ibadan Land Oba (Senator) Lekan Balogun, who passed away on Thursday.

The revered monarch breathed his last at the University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan, on Thursday evening, leaving behind a legacy of royal excellence and profound accomplishments.

In his condolence message, through his spokesperson, Rafiu Ajakaye, the Kwara State Governor “condoles with His Excellency the Oyo State Governor/NGF Vice Chairman Engineer Seyi Makinde and the people of Ibadan and Oyo State as a whole on the sad development.

“The late Olubadan was a man whose place in history is already etched in gold because of not just his quality royal leadership to his people but also for his service to the country as a senator of the Federal Republic, according to Governor AbdulRazaq.”

“The Governor asks Allaah, the Living and Everlasting, to admit the first class monarch to Al-jannah Firdaus and strengthen the family and Ibadan community after his death.”

The demise of Oba Dr. Mohood Lekan Balogun, Alli Okunmade II, marks the end of an era for Ibadanland, leaving behind a void that will be deeply felt by generations to come. As the community mourns the loss of a revered leader, tributes pour in from far and wide, celebrating the enduring legacy of a monarch whose reign exemplified dignity, wisdom, and service to his people.
