Nigeria, Canada, China, others disqualified from 2025 US visa lottery programme (see full list)
Nigeria, China, Canada, Brazil and a host of other nations have been disqualified from the 2025 US lottery programme.
The United States of America last year opened applications for the registration process for the Diversity Visa (DV) Programme for the fiscal year 2025.
Authorities say those from nations that have sent more than 50,000 of their citizens to the US in the previous five years are not eligible to apply for the FY2025 program.
The new development also applies to 17 other countries, which have been excluded for the past couple of years.
