AFCON: ‘Mo Salah can’t be treated if he stays in Africa’, Liverpool boss alleges
Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp, has clarified the truth on the Mo Salah injury saga following the recent controversy regarding the football star.
The striker was forced off during Egypt’s 2-2 draw with Ghana after it was clear that he had sustained an injury.
Controversies have ensued on where Salah should be treated to keep him fit for the ongoing TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations in Côte d’Ivoire.
Speaking on the plan to get Salah fit, the Liverpool boss alleged that the star cannot be well treated if he stays in Africa, adding that “they can’t do proper treatment.”
“I don’t want to be part of this story. Liverpool and also Egypt both want Mo Salah to be fit as soon as possible”.
“If Salah stays in Africa and they can’t do the proper treatment, it will delay everything and it’s an issue”.
“We bring Mo here not to take him away from Egypt… but just because we do the best medical treatment”.
“It’s all agreed, it’s all very clear. If Salah is fit and then Egypt will reach the final of AFCON… he will be there”.
“If somebody questions the loyalty of Mo Salah, so I’m sorry but he should ask himself if his loyalty is right”.
“Mo is the most loyal Egyptian I’veever met in my life.” He said.
