AFCON: Christopher Wooh explains why Cameroon excels against Gambia
Cameroon defender Christopher Wooh has said the team learned from their mistakes from previous games and worked on them to be able to get their win over Gambia in the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations Côte d’Ivoire 2023 last round of group game on Tuesday.
Wooh scored the winner for the Indomitable Lions to seal their knockout qualification.
Speaking after win, the defender said they took key lessons from their previous games and decided not to give up until the game is over.
“We knew we do not have to give up; we had to prove that we had the strength to move on and we learnt from our mistakes,” he said.
Cameroon have now progressed to the next stage with 4 points and Christoper Wooh say they are not thinking about individual performance but rather what they give collectively.
“I’m thinking collectively and the objective is to win, we are going be in this competition and we are going to have the next games and we want to good results,”he added.
