Qadiriyah: Emir of Ilorin expresses joy following release of kidnapped victims
The Emir of Ilorin and Chairman of Kwara State Traditional Rulers Council, Alhaji (Dr.) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari CFR, has expressed gratitude to God for the release of the Qadiriyah’s family members who were recently kidnapped from their residence in Abuja.
The Emir stated this in a statement issued on Sunday by his spokesman, Mallam Abdulazeez Arowona, stressing that, “the unfortunate incident has further rejuvenated the fact that Nigerians should continue to pray for peaceful co-existence at all times.
Alhaji Sulu-Gambari expressed sadness over Nabeeha’s death at the hands of their kidnappers while praising security authorities for their vigorous efforts and dedication that resulted in the victims’ rescue.
Alhaji Sulu-Gambari went on to say that Qadiriyah’s family’s intellectualism, patriotism, and contributions to the advancement of Islamic principles in the community made them a valued and essential component of the city of Ilorin.
He, however, expressed his gratitude to the whole Ilorin community, the people of the state, and all Nigerians for their passionate prayers, expressions of concern, and acts of solidarity throughout the terrible time that the victims and their extended families had to endure.
He therefore commended the Ilorin Emirate Descendants Progressive Union (IEDPU), under the leadership of its National President, Alhaji Abdulmumini Ayo Abdulmalik, for their relentless efforts during the hard and challenging moments even as he prayed that Almighty grant the deceased, Nabeeha Kadiriyah, total forgiveness, accept good deeds and admit her into Al-janatul firdaos.
