Gaza: Hamas says 241 people killed by Israeli forces in 24 hours
Gaza’s Hamas-run health ministry says at least 241 Palestinians have been killed in the last 24 hours as Israel’s military incursion in the enclave continues.
Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas described the attack in Gaza as a “grave crime” committed against his people.
According to Israel’s army chief, Herzi Halevi, the fight with Hamas will last “many more months.”
Israel announced that its forces have struck more than 100 targets on Tuesday, amid fears of imminent ground operations in central Gaza.
Six Palestinians were killed in an overnight Israeli drone strike in the Nur Shams refugee camp in Tulkarem, according to Palestinian medical sources in the occupied West Bank.
The Gaza’s health ministry said 382 persons were also injured in the same 24 hours.
According to the ministry, at least 20,915 Palestinians have been killed – mostly children and women – after the October 7 attack by Hamas.
On the part of Isarel, about 1,200 people, mainly civilians, were killed while 240 people were taken back to Gaza as hostages, and a number of them were later released after negotiations.
